The rooms looked nothing like the photos, there was hardly any natural light, the common areas were very limited, and the WiFi barely worked. Check-in was also a mess. We arrived around 4:30 PM, an hour and a half after check-in time, but the room still wasn’t ready. The sheets and towels had already been used, and there was no other room available. We gave them another chance and waited half an hour, but the room they moved us to still had lamps without bulbs. I texted the owner to cancel, and he was rude, never apologized, and refused any refund even though his team hadn’t provided basic check-in conditions.

Alex, our contact, was approachable and helpful, and made the stay comfortable. We got a good deal through Agoda, so it felt like good value for the money. The glamtainer was roomy and comfortable, the toilet was quite nice and large, and the AC worked very well. The WiFi gave us a lot of trouble connecting throughout the stay, so something needs to be done with it, maybe the router. There was also a strange smell near the bed, which we’d seen mentioned in other reviews. Maybe they could provide incense. Still worth the price.

Super clean, trustworthy, and in a prime location, with competitive rates. I left my money, phone, and passport in the room without any problem, and the manager was very accommodating. You can use the beach and pool at Coco Unlimited across the street, which is super cute. There’s no insect mesh on the windows or door, so bring mosquito spray. It was an amazing, very Tulum stay. I’ll definitely come back!

The outside of our container smelled like sewage, and behind a fence there were tarps set up like tents where it looked as if people were living. I also felt uneasy about leaving our passports and cash out, since there was no lockbox and the flimsy sliding door lock seemed easy to pick. The place looked nothing like the photos, more like camping in a bomb shelter or jail cell. There were huge holes in the walls and a one inch gap under the door, so bugs and mosquitoes got in all night. Coconuts kept crashing onto the metal roof, which startled us, especially while trying to sleep. The blanket was just a thin sheet and the pillows felt like cotton balls. We left a day early because we couldn’t take it anymore. I’ve read similar horror stories elsewhere, including reports of people being robbed. We asked AirBnb for a partial refund for the unused second night while we were still checked in that day, but they weren’t helpful. The owner then left us a bad review calling us “scammers.” Avoid the headache and stay somewhere else.
