The pool was spotless, and being right by the ocean meant great views from there too. Our room was clean, with a huge master bedroom in the two-bedroom condo, plus a pleasant living space, kitchen, and fantastic balcony. The upper-floor rooms have especially nice views. It's very good value for the price. The place is down the road along Akumal beach, so getting around can be tough without a car, though there's a convenience store nearby for basics.
Three balconies and the sound of the ocean at night made it easy to unwind at Playa Caribe, #4. We loved the roman tub and shower combos in the bathrooms, and there was a convenience store close by. La Buena Vida is within walking distance, and we'd recommend Hare Krishna massage, a short walk away. Yak kul Lagoon is worth the short drive too. We brought our snorkel gear and used it almost every day around the area, including on the beach right in front of the condo. We were out diving, ziplining, snorkeling, and visiting the Tulum ruins for several days, so it was great to return to such a nice place to rest. Everyone on staff was warm, welcoming, and helpful with local tips.
We had a blast spending Christmas here. Five stars from us, and we'd happily recommend it for a holiday or any time you want a getaway.
The pool and beach were incredible, and the condo was clean, beautiful, and had a spectacular view. Playa Caribe is well placed for getting to Akumal activities. I was only there for a long weekend and really wish I'd stayed longer.
The rocky way into the ocean was the one drawback I can think of. Otherwise, we loved the perfect condo, the wonderful staff, and the nearby restaurants and little store. We'd love to come back.
