Marta and Gianluca have kept building up their place over the years, but the hospitality and the clean, lovely home have stayed the same. What matters most to me is that Villa Feronia still holds onto the old spirit of Tulum, tucked behind a private entrance into the jungle and only steps from the bustle of what Tulum center has become. I’ve been coming to Tulum for years, and this is still the only place I’d stay. Cheaper options in the city might tempt you, but being right by the strip is hard to match, especially with the jungle, the beach, and both old and new Tulum all there.

A lovely jungle hideaway to relax, away from the pueblo but close to the beach. It’s clean, super relaxing, easygoing, and has a good vibe. The hosts, Gianluca and Marta, are very friendly and make you feel at home. They give interesting suggestions about everything, from food to trips. Breakfast was delicious too. They built this four-bedroom B&B with their own hands and did a great job. It feels like a little sanctuary.
