Lying by the pool gave the stay a great feel, and the staff were kind and helpful. There's also a gym in the apartment complex. One thing I'd avoid is taking cabs, since drivers will always try to rip you off if you're a gringo.

The apartment itself was nice, but the pool area was pretty dirty. The condo is in an odd area with construction all around, dirty roads, and strange local buildings.

10/10
Great location in upscale Aldea Zama, in a secure building within walking distance of the commercial centre, restaurants, 7/11, and stores. The two-bedroom ground-floor condo opens straight onto the pool and bar area. It had superb Tulum-style furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen.

10/10
A nice, quiet condo close to the beach, with plenty of places to eat nearby. It felt like a good middle ground between the busy downtown area and the more expensive beachfront.

6/10
The condos are very spacious, though dark, and each one is decorated differently. The stairs up to the rooftop are circular and really steep.
