The vibe is really wonderful. From the second-floor pool and the bar beside it, you can hear the city bustling below. Hotel Kuxtal feels like an oasis compared with the surrounding area. It has a large yard, parking, a pool, and a bar, and is within walking distance of the city center and the main parts of town. Service was great, and the rooms were good and clean. They look a bit dull, though, and could use some pictures or paintings. There's no elevator, so be ready for the stairs.

The location is good, but the place looks quite different from the photos. The pool is small, the music is loud, and the fountain outside makes quite a bit of noise at night. The rooms aren't very big. The beds aren't proper beds, either, just high mattresses with the rest built up from cement or something. Water pressure was low, and the water sprayed in all directions instead of straight down.

It's a quick walk to lots of restaurants and the cathedral, and the location is good. The rooms are basic but clean. The pool looked dirty, so I didn't try it. The bar and restaurant stayed closed the whole time we were there.

The rooms are super nice, new, and clean, and there's parking within the hotel grounds. It's very close to the city. I'd say this is the best place to stay in Valladolid.
