Getting my iPad back on departure took longer than it should have. I'd left it in the safe, called ahead with the code, and asked them to have it ready because I was rushing to catch a flight. The front desk served other guests first before returning my things. I also found the elevator situation misleading. They said it wasn't working and sent me to the stairs, although it was functioning. Earlier, when I arrived early, I offered to pay for an early check-in and was told no rooms were available. Then they tried to charge extra for a better room and additional early check-in hours. I was exhausted and needed rest, so I agreed. My stay at the Gamma Hotel in Colima was deeply disappointing from the start. I booked through the hotel's website, but when I needed to cancel one night because a meeting ran late, the desk initially refused to adjust my reservation. They finally did it after I insisted, but it was a stressful, unnecessary hassle. The service felt unprofessional and unaccommodating. I won't stay here again or recommend it.

With no other option by the time we arrived late at night, we stayed for two nights. The rooms the staff showed us all had a strange, damp old-mold smell, and our outdated room wasn't very clean. We got complimentary coffee the first night, but not after that. The hotel amenities were basic and weren't kept clean or maintained. It cost too much for what we got, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone visiting Colima.

The hotel was clean and well cared for, and the location worked perfectly for us. Finding the entrance can be a little confusing. Our main complaint was the thin walls: we could hear people talking in the hallway and toilets flushing in nearby rooms.

I usually come back about once every three months, and the staff are always friendly and flexible when I have a concern. I love this hotel and really recommend it over the others nearby.

I've stayed here before, and I'd recommend it. The rooms are clean and spacious.
