Hotel Olmeca Plaza

There’s a gym and swimming pool, plus a good lobby and a large parking garage. It can take them a while to bring your car around. Breakfast isn’t free, though they do have a restaurant.

The low price was the only good thing for me. The bathroom was so off-putting that I skipped showering, and parking was very inconvenient. They have rooms for pets, but those aren’t on the ground floor. With luggage and pets, you have to leave the main lobby, exit the building, go to another lobby, then take a separate elevator. Some staff were helpful, while others seemed annoyed when asked questions. I wouldn’t recommend it.

We stayed two nights with our dog, and the buffet breakfast was included. The valet parking was really handy, and the staff were friendly to all three of us. The hotel is central, close to a dog park, shopping, and restaurants. Our bed was comfortable and clean, the shower was nice and hot, and the WiFi was great for browsing. We enjoyed our stay, thank you! The pool needs fixing. The room’s AC is old but still works, and should be replaced.

The beds were soft, and I liked having valet parking, pet-friendly rooms, and staff who were patient and accommodating even though I barely speak Spanish. The rooms felt a little dated, stuffy, and short on fresh air, and the WiFi was weak. This location is busy, with lots of people around day and night. It wasn’t my first choice, but it was the only place in the city with a room available. There’s a large militarized police presence, so walking nearby during the day felt safe. Lots of things are within walking distance, and the staff will help you get what you can’t find.
