The room was clean and comfortable, with a hot shower and good pressure, even if it was small and plain. We picked Hotel One Centro for its central location while stopping in Villahermosa before flying back to Mexico City after our Chiapas road trip. The nicer, pricier hotels seemed to be farther north, and we wanted to avoid extra travel. The free laundry setup on the second floor was a real plus: we bought soap, then used the washer, dryer, and iron at no charge. There are also scheduled rides to the airport. Breakfast was better than expected, especially the fruit, eggs, cheese, and sauces, and the staff were very friendly. For the price, it was an easy choice. We didn't feel comfortable walking around downtown. People often asked us for money, armed police were posted on every corner, and our taxi driver said there had been a lot of security problems lately. We felt safer staying at the hotel.

We had a clean, pleasant room and a nice breakfast. The location near the Centro pedestrian mall and river walk is especially good. A very good place to stay.

The free washer and dryer were a nice bonus, and the staff were great. A few workers spoke some English, which helped. The place was cleaner than I expected, and breakfast was really good. My only gripe: there wasn't a single English-language TV channel, so a whole week without TV felt long. Couldn't have asked for much else.

I'd choose somewhere else for a holiday, but it works well for business travelers needing a comfortable night. The rooms are very clean, though extremely small, and in the morning you can hear everyone's alarm clocks. Staff are friendly and helpful.

The location makes shopping easy, with Zona de luz nearby and Soriana supermarket just a two minute walk away. ADO bus station is about a 10 minute walk. The hotel feels modern and safe, with quick Wi-Fi, a free buffet breakfast, and complimentary washer and dryer access. Avoid rooms facing Parque Juarez, though, since loud music can go on until 3 a.m. Upper floor rooms facing away from the square are a better bet.
