The accommodations are basic, but clean and comfortable, with good Wi-Fi. We stayed at Casa Mexica for a couple of months in both 2024 and 2025, and as two single senior women, we always felt safe in the property and nearby. Juan is a gem, quick to respond when we needed anything and committed to making yearly upgrades, including on-demand shower hot water and landscaping. There's no air conditioning, though the fans and airflow kept us cool enough. Weekly housekeeping is included, which was a big plus. We cooked most meals ourselves, but there are plenty of choices along restaurant row. The location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to the beach or Centro. Highly recommend!

We had a group of 10, mostly kids, and the big bungalow worked perfectly for us. It was practical and comfortable, with plenty of beds, five bathrooms, and hot water on demand that worked really well. The kitchen had what we needed to cook, and drinking water was right beside it. There was also a nice outdoor area with tables and hammocks. Casa Mexica is even closer to the beach than it looks on the map, and near all the amenities. The owner was thoughtful and very helpful. We loved staying here and will definitely come back. Highly recommend!

I needed really fast internet for work, and the host had the best connection in town. The courtyard was cute, with tables and chairs where you could eat, read, or just hang out, and the neighborhood felt super safe. It was a great stay. The beach is only two blocks away, with local produce markets, good restaurants, and downtown also an easy walk.

Juan and Monica were such kind, helpful, gracious hosts. The room wasn't fancy, but it was comfortable, and we had a wonderful stay. It's central but still quiet, with delicious coffee next door and a beautiful art shop owned by local women and an artist. The rooms have everything needed to cook, even a blender. I'll be back to Casa Mexica!

I stayed there in October with my mom and adult siblings. We felt right at home. It's close to both the beach and downtown, and they were very accommodating. We'd highly recommend it.
