The pool was a good size and well kept, and there’s a bar area where you can lounge in the sun. It’s only about five minutes from the beach. The rooms were large and had all the amenities we needed for a vacation. We had a wonderful visit last year, and the family who owns the hotel were super friendly and helpful.

Edison, the owner, was so thoughtful and helpful. He even drove us to get some essential medical supplies, and the friendliness here is hard to beat. The hotel solimar is right in the center, which made shopping and sightseeing easy. The building itself could use a facelift, though.

The room was big and the bed comfortable. The lighting was really poor, though, and the A/C was deafening. Still, the price felt fair for what you get.

A pleasant older hotel right downtown in Zihuatanejo. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the beach and plenty of restaurants are close by.
