Villa Del Pescador

The view from the pool is nice, and it’s quiet with friendly people. Still, the rooms are very small. The shower doesn’t even have a curtain or door.

The food was good and the view was great, but keep an eye on your receipt: we were charged twice for meals we’d already paid for. There are also lots of rules, including no food or alcohol by the pool. Pool closing time was confusing, first 6 pm and then we were told 7, and the water was pretty cold. We stayed one night. The room was clean and decent, though a little noisy, and the bed and pillows weren’t comfortable. We had a spa on the patio, but it was too cold to sit in it.

Getting to the plaza, restaurants, and beaches takes a bit of a walk, maybe seven minutes, since the hotel is off the beaten path. There are a few restaurants on the same street, and the hotel has a small restaurant inside with just a few tables. Its menu is limited, but handy for a relaxed night in your room. Our room had a patio mini pool facing the bay, a gorgeous view, a king bed, a sectional, and a mini fridge for extra drinks. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, and room service was always quick. We loved it and can’t wait to return.

It’s peaceful here, with friendly people and a great breakfast. The rooms look out over the bay, and the location is close to the touristy area without being right in it. The only drawbacks were no hot shower and no elevator, though those are hard to find here anyway.
