Casa Flor de Mar

A calm, beautiful place with friendly staff, a comfy bed, AC, and a fridge. I liked the hammock on the porch and the peaceful feel. There were a few drawbacks: some ants in the room, a little rain coming in, crumbling shower tiles, and no cleaning on the last day of our stay. If you’re after comfortable conditions for adult tastes, this could be the place for you.

The people running the place were so kind and accommodating. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived, but they held our luggage while we went exploring, and did the same again after checkout before we headed out for the evening. The room had a coffee maker and a handy little fridge. It’s a short walk to the beach and all the action, and there was a lovely hammock and seating area right outside. The plants and birdsong were a nice touch too. I was really impressed: the rooms are huge and the property is exquisite.

The owners were welcoming, and there’s some potential here, but it felt way too expensive for what you get. The room was large and nice, though the dogs and roosters made the nights noisy. The shower water was cold, the bathroom had no doors, the Wi-Fi was weak, and tap water was salty and smelly.

A surprisingly nice, laid-back place, owned by a very kind family about a five-minute walk from the beach. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, with AC. Warm water in the shower, a swimming pool, and perhaps more food options would make it better. We’d definitely return!
