OYO 582 Hotel Walk Inn

I arrived late at night after landing at KLIA, looking for a simple place to rest before moving on. The service was poor. We had booked for two adults and one infant, but there was only one towel, as if we were meant to share it. When I asked, the receptionist said there were no extra towels and that hotel policy was one towel for up to three guests, and only three towels for five guests. I'd never come across such a ridiculous policy.

For about 12 SGD per person, I guess you get what you pay for. The room had good air conditioning and free Wi-Fi, but plenty of dirty spots on the walls, and I even saw a spider. There were no slippers or toothbrushes, and I couldn't find the TV remote. The socket was sticking out of the wall, the showerhead holder was chipped, and the top door lock was broken, with a cheaper-looking lock added at the bottom. Soap came from a dispenser rather than a bottle, and the kitchen sink looked like a kitchen sink. The lobby had no air conditioning, only the room did.

For a budget hotel, this single-bed room was cozy enough, and the bed, sheets, and pillow were clean and comfortable. The bathroom was clean too, though it only had shampoo, no body wash or toothpaste. They provided a towel and Wi-Fi with a good connection. There's a mamak and a Speedmart nearby. Pretty satisfying for the price range.

The rooms aren't maintained well. The walls are cracked and very dirty, and the mattress is uncomfortable and noisy. The bathrooms weren't clean either, and the white pipes had turned black.
