Samsuria Private Beach Front Resort

Mikel fixed the air conditioning problem right away, which I really appreciated. Great service and location, good pools, and a beach that's safe for kids. The room could use a little repair and touch-up. Everything else was great.

The private beach was lovely and kid-friendly. I felt fine bringing my six-year-old swimming there, and there were hammocks and a swing by a tree. The pool was nice too, though there's no lifeguard. We stayed in B-2-11, the unit closest to the beach, which was a plus. The owner gave clear instructions and responded quickly, and thankfully there was no deposit. At 7pm the place seemed empty and quiet, but the lift was out, so we had to carry big luggage up to the second floor. They repaired it that same night. The beds and pillows were clean and smelled good, but cleanliness elsewhere could improve. The lights were a bit dim and brighter ones would be better. There's an iron, microwave, and fridge, though more spoons, forks, and other cutlery would help. We couldn't watch TV because it kept asking for the antenna to be fixed. Beautiful in the full moon. There's no grocery shop nearby, so bring everything you need before check-in.

The bathroom floor was dangerously slippery, perhaps from too much floor cleaner residue, and that really took away from the stay. Dining options and kitchen utensils were limited too. We did enjoy the comfortable, well-maintained accommodation and the peaceful beachfront when the weather allowed. Our stay at Samsuria Private Beach Front was a mixed one, though, because monsoon rain and flooding made getting there difficult. The road to the property was flooded, causing a lot of inconvenience. If booking during monsoon season, check the forecast and plan for possible delays and fewer outdoor activities.

It's an alright place to stay, and not too far from everything if you're driving. Walking or cycling to where things are happening would be a bit much, though. There's nowhere to dry clothes, which is a real problem by the beach and pool, since something is always wet. Every room should at least have a drying rack.
