Super OYO 90009 Bangi Sri Minang Guesthouse

The PIC was very friendly and helpful, which was a real plus. The air conditioning wasn't working, so I called them and they came to fix it, but I stayed in that same room for a few more hours. At 11pm, we asked to move rooms. I'd rate the stay as average overall.

The room smelled quite bad, and the towel wasn't clean enough, there was hair on it. No liquid body wash, either, and the water heater was broken.

The room could have been cleaned better. There was dust on top of the wardrobe, which felt uncomfortable with the AC circulating air. Still, the price was pleasant for a good stay, and the staff were friendly and helpful with all my questions. The cafe had closed, but there was a water dispenser for hot and cold water. The location is handy, with shops, a mosque and restaurants nearby, and Grab was easy to book.

We paid RM130 per night, and there are some serious things to fix. For a property with so many rooms, only four parking spaces were available, so we had to leave the car along the road in front of neighboring homes. That must be frustrating for the residents. The bedsheets were dusty and had black spots, which raised hygiene concerns. The SPC tiles had visible gaps that could be dangerous, especially for children and older people. There was no shower gel. When I asked, I was told, “All OYO don’t provide shower gels,” which came across as dismissive and unhelpful. I've stayed at other OYOs before. The TVs in BOTH rooms we booked didn't work. The receptionist said they “just broke today,” which sounded like a stock excuse. Guests deserve honesty and basic hospitality. Please don't treat customers like buffoons.
