Mr Ariffin helped me find the loft unit I had booked after I paid a RM50 key deposit. It's about a 70 metre walk from the main suites, and there are also regular suites and connecting rooms. The loft has an entertainment space downstairs with a sofa bed, TV, safe and standing lamp. One room has a playful kids' setup and bean bags, while the sleeping area is upstairs on a mezzanine with two single beds. Curtains give good privacy and block the light, but the stairs are steep and have no railings, so they may not suit older guests. I also heard a water pump outside, especially at night. The bathroom worked fine, with shower gel and a good water heater. There's a full length mirror, but no table or chair in the room. Roomies Suites is right in the middle of Batu Ferringhi. You can walk to Ferringhi Walk, and Ferringhi Bay is about 1.5 km away. Nearby are a Petronas station, 99 Speedmart, Happy Mart, Mr DIY (Express), 7-Eleven and Eco Shop, along with McDonald’s, Ai Cha and plenty of Malay and Chinese roadside food stalls. Paid roadside parking is available, and it's fairly well lit at night. The building has a lift and the price is affordable, though the surroundings look a little dated. It can take a moment to find the place since there are several budget hotels in Eden Parade and no reception at the main entrance. Reception is on Level 2. There's a shared area with a water dispenser, coffee and tea sachets, bean bags, chairs, sofas and tables. A few tables and chairs outside are nice for sitting around, but the restaurant and karaoke place on the same floor can be noisy at night while they're open. The lofts come in different designs. It's a budget stay with an unusual loft layout, probably best for younger travellers or small groups, and some things could be more comfortable.

If zero stars were possible, that would be my rating. I booked through Agoda two or three weeks ahead, but when we arrived there was nobody at reception. The two check-in numbers on the door went unanswered, even after I called many times. After we waited 30 minutes, they called back and said they'd cancelled the booking and had already told Agoda. I never got an email or message from Agoda about it. We had travelled a long way, were exhausted, and came to another state for a holiday, so this was a terrible experience. I chose the hotel because of other people's reviews, but those were from three or four years ago. Be careful if you're thinking of staying here. The service was bad, and I had to book another hotel. The building and its surroundings were also in very poor condition, and the hotel is in a very old building.

I really liked the suite. It was very clean, and the lady was kind and helpful. I slept through the complimentary breakfast, though.

The room was clean and comfortable, and both the air conditioning and hot water worked fine. Our hosts were responsive, and the manager was great. Breakfast was good, with a balcony where you can eat outside if you like. There was also a cheap little minibar, just a cooler with cold drinks. The beach is right across the road, about a five minute walk. Thanks to the hosts for a great stay.

The place was cozy for sleeping and worth the money. It's a budget hotel, and check-in was fairly easy. The address in the Agoda app says the first floor, but the hotel is actually on the second. You can walk to the beach in about five minutes, though you do have to cross the road. Free parking is on B1 and easy to reach, but you park at your own risk. There's no security guard, so I wouldn't recommend it if you want somewhere SECURE. You have to ask the admin for things like a hair dryer or iron.
