The front desk staff were so warm and helpful, which made me feel welcome. Food is easy to find nearby, and the surroundings are calm and pleasant. The room was really clean, even compared with other budget hotels I’ve stayed in. There’s a water dispenser, plus coffee and drinking water in the room. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I got for the price, and I’ll stay here again next time.

We arrived with a confirmed Agoda booking, only to be told the hotel was full. Nobody had contacted us beforehand or let us know there was a problem, which was a huge inconvenience. On our last day, the water was disrupted. Staff said it was due to SAJ, but my relatives nearby didn’t have any water issue, so I’m not sure that explanation adds up. The communication, customer service, and handling of the situation were unacceptable. I hope the hotel improves, but right now I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Dinner and supper are easy, with a restaurant next door and street hawkers setting up from 11pm to 3am. The rooms were very clean, and the water pressure was the strongest I’ve come across. Staff were friendly, and there’s a water dispenser in the lobby. They also kindly cover your parking for the next morning. Excellent service.

For my partner’s birthday, we had a wonderful stay at Hotel City 88. Everyone was pleasant and helpful, including the housekeeper, and we felt really welcome. The room was very clean. We’ll come back again soon.
