Greens Hotel & Suites

The room itself was comfortable and nicely designed. Noise from next door disrupted my time alone in the room during the day, then started up again around 8am and woke me with a start. At least the neighbors were quiet at night.

The hotel was decent, with not much else to complain about. Check-in was supposed to be at 2pm, and although the room had been ready since morning, they wouldn’t let me in at 10am, which I can understand. When I came back at 1:45pm, the desk told me to wait another 20 minutes unless I paid for half a day. The counter staff member felt like a robot, with no flexibility. Then early today, while I was lying in bed, someone opened my room door. I was told the lobby may have given him the wrong key. What if I hadn’t been in the room? 🤦🏻‍♂️

Breakfast was decent, nothing fancy, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The room, though, looked dated and could use renovation. On Level 3 there was a strong smell as soon as I stepped out of the elevator, almost like a smoking area. Housekeeping needs to do a better job, too. I found several obvious blood stains on the quilt and wondered how they’d been missed.

The hotel sits in an almost abandoned mall, and the business center around it seemed inactive, so the location wasn’t ideal. Inside, the room was spacious, the bed and pillow were comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. I stayed six days, but cleanliness was disappointing. Some rubbish was left behind and the empty soap dispenser wasn’t refilled. Housekeeping seemed to make the bed, change towels, and replace bottled water, then leave the rest.
