Food and shops are close by, so getting around was easy. We stayed at The4 Hotel on our Cameron Highlands trip, and the room felt roomy, clean, and comfortable. It gets cool enough at night that we didn't need a fan or air-conditioning, and the bed was great for sleeping. A nice couples' break or quick escape from the city. I'd come back.

Sunset was lovely and the night sky was full of bright stars. It was so quiet at night, with very few cars passing, and the place is close to lots of things: KEA farm, Boh tea plantation at palas, butterfly park, centrum night market and my favourite cat house! Handy for resting between activities. For iftar, you can get food, heat it in the microwave, and enjoy it during the peaceful sunset.

The two-bedroom suite was spacious, which was the one good part of our 3 days 2 nights there. The toilet was already dirty when we arrived and smelled bad the whole time. We also pressed the “clean” button before heading out on day one, but got back at 10pm to find the room untouched. After a long day, that was really frustrating. Getting the parking card validated was a hassle too. Each time we wanted to drive out, we had to go to reception to validate our TNG/bank card. The room door was difficult to open and its lock seemed rusty. Cleanliness and service fell short, and I hope management improves them.

Nearby attractions and shops made things convenient, and the place was clean, which worked well for our family with a baby. The owner replied promptly, and checking ourselves in went smoothly without a deposit. We were given two bottles of water. Tea and coffee weren't provided, but that wasn't a big issue. We had a wonderful stay at Nova Highlands Resort & Residence (A2).

I was expecting to meet a ghost after reading that the hotel was haunted, but no pontianak, no pocong, nothing. That's why I'm only giving 4 stars. What a letdown. Breakfast was alright, though the fried rice could be better and I wish they served real teh tarik. The location is nice and close enough to walk to the Kea Farm Market. Just stick to buying light things, since carrying heavy bags back is quite a task.
