The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, and Conway is on the ground floor. I booked because it’s close to Tokun hill. There’s a Pasaraya supermart about 350m away, though no minimart or 7-Eleven. Food options are all halal restaurants, and they open after 10am. The TV only has one Mandarin/English movie channel, playing the same films on repeat every day. The walls are thin too, so I could hear the neighbors coughing and showering.

It’s tucked behind the main road, so it was surprisingly quiet, and the location is handy for nearby amenities. I stayed for a work trip. The check-in was smooth and the hotel was clean, though the room wasn’t very spacious. They require a RM50 deposit. Parking has to be paid through the Penang smart parking app.

We came back for a second stay, since uitm permatang pauh is less than a 10-minute drive away. The bathrooms were spotless, and the rooms were clean and quiet with enough space and amenities. There are various Malay restaurants nearby too. For a 2-star hotel, it’s really worth the money.
