A spacious room and parking included made this good value for the price.

The road noise was the biggest annoyance for me. Tyres hitting the speed limiter out front were clearly audible even from a room that didn't face the road, so I can only imagine how loud the front rooms are. The area had been eerily quiet on my earlier visit during MCO/PKP, but it's changed since then. For an overnight work trip, this place is still reasonable. It's a clean enough, no-frills budget motel, with a large room for a standard single and a Queen sized bed. The bathroom was fairly clean, the water pressure was good, and the hot water was okay. I did find the sink leaking and the toilet bowl could use a scrub. Breakfast is included, with self-service coffee and tea and a reasonably good pre-packed Nasi Lemak. For dinner, you'll need to drive to find a restaurant or Warung. The place across the road only serves breakfast through lunch, and the one next door was closed when I checked in. Reception is a small room with a little window.

We had plenty of parking, and the place had Wi-Fi and hot water. That was about all I could say in its favor. The room looked in bad shape from the moment we walked in. There were ants, and my parents found a roach behind their bed frame. The rooms were very noisy, too, though things did quiet down later in the evening. We stayed in early July after booking through Agoda, where the hotel had an 8/10 rating. We arrived a few minutes before check-in, around 2:15, but the receptionist in the little front desk hut said we had to wait until 2:30. We sat around for a good ten minutes before she checked us in. The hotel is on a busy street, and traffic makes a lot of noise over the slow-down tracks right at the entrance. Our assigned rooms faced the road. I politely asked for rooms at the back, only to be told those were the only rooms available at the front. This is a bare-bones room rental that's falling apart. Hangers would've helped. The trail of ants and the cockroach were disturbing, and it wasn't what we expected. Budget hotels shouldn't get ratings that high. I posted my Agoda review, then went back a week later and couldn't find it. I'd be embarrassed to put house guests in these conditions, yet they still charge people.

The room is roomy and comfortable enough, and the breakfast is handy if you're heading straight to work after checking out. You get nasi lemak Terengganu for two people per room, so there's no need to spend money on food first. It's cheap, and when I'm in Dungun again, I'll stay here overnight. The downside is the noise. In the room I had before, we could hear sounds from outside, and people outside could hear us too. Better soundproof walls would help stop others overhearing conversations.
