2 Bedroom Suite SeaView @ Mansion One near Gleanegles, Penang (2-6pax)

The cockroaches were even running around the water dispenser, and we had to spend one night with ants and roaches. The used towels were still in the bathroom, and the previous guests’ hairs hadn’t been cleaned up. The place was freaking dirty, and I didn’t get any money back. Management GINA never replied or picked up the call, and didn’t send me the check-in details until I asked right before checking in. This was the service we got at mansion one by sky hive. I called booking.com throughout the trip just to complain. Wow, what a fun trip!

The view was pretty good, but the rest was a mess. There were cockroaches on the counter and a pee smell in the bedroom, plus an odor in the bathroom. The owner didn’t respond. There was even a can of roach spray. The bedding was cheap and rough, the outlet by the bed didn’t work, and the balcony got hot when the air-conditioning was on. Check-in took about 20 minutes. The washer had to be cleaned before use and kept stopping mid-cycle. Someone had put a rubber band on the faucet handle instead of fixing it. Pretty much a slumlord running this place.

The room was comfortable and easy to access, and it was next to the hospital, which was the main reason we came to Penang. Facilities were OK, including the WiFi, air conditioning, and water heater. It was a pleasant stay, and I’ll definitely come back when I visit Penang.
