Codrington House - Boutique Apartments

The three-bedroom place on the first floor was spacious and really clean when we stayed over Christmas. We especially liked having a water dispenser and Netflix on the TV. Thanks for the Christmas cake, too! I'd highly recommend staying here.

We were very happy with our 4D3N stay in the fourth-floor unit, and would gladly recommend Codrington House. The whole floor is yours, with a private lift that opens onto your own foyer, and two free parking spaces per unit. The host was friendly and quick to respond, and there’s efficient proper cleaning for stays of three nights or more. Prices are reasonable. It's handy for food throughout the day, and Gurney Paragon and Plaza Malls are walkable. It's a good fit for groups of up to eight, or a smaller group that values having space and privacy. The unit was so clean, cleaner than some five-star hotels, and came with toothbrush kits, indoor slippers, free Netflix, and air conditioning that cooled strongly in every room. Ceiling fans are in all the rooms and the living room. Bedrooms and bathrooms have windows for good ventilation. There’s a water filter and dispenser with cold, hot, or room-temperature water, a large fridge, cooking gear, cups, and a washer-dryer with detergent. Coffee and tea sachets are at the ground-floor entrance, and guests can borrow the Codrington House umbrellas. CCTVs in strategic spots outside the unit help with security. The living room and bedrooms are very spacious, and every bedroom has its own bathroom. A few small things could be improved: the thin indoor slippers wore out easily, so I had to change them almost daily, and each toothpaste tube in the toothbrush kit lasted only one or two brushes. The driveway and turns can be tight, so you need to slow down and sometimes make several moves; parking can be tricky for larger vehicles, especially if other cars are there. There's no gym or swimming pool, which might matter to some. Still, we loved the cleanliness and had a great stay. Singapore.

Pulau Tikus was a convenient base, with lots of food within walking distance, from local dishes to Nyonya cooking and dim sum. We even had a relaxing foot massage at Sunrise Foot Massage just a few doors away. Ms. Kelly was especially friendly and helpful. I stayed with friends at Codrington House on Levels 4 and 5 last weekend, and it was such a gem for our short Penang staycation. The three-bedroom unit sleeps up to seven comfortably, with an attached bathroom in each room. It was spotless and roomy, with a Cuckoo water dispenser, washer-dryer, iron, drying rack, and basic kitchen utensils. Since there's only one unit on each floor, it was quiet and private. I've visited Penang many times but hadn't known about this place before. I'll definitely stay here again.

There’s a great Nyonya restaurant nearby, along with a coffee house two minutes away, a not-so-mini mini-mart, a confectionery shop, and Chinese desserts. Level 4 was really clean and had three bedrooms. The decor felt cosy, the furniture was comfortable, and the amenities were excellent, including a water dispenser, shower supplies, and a TV with Netflix. I'd highly recommend considering this place.
