The owner was very irresponsible and still hasn't returned my security deposit, nearly a month after I moved out. The tenancy agreement clearly says it should be returned within seven days. I always paid rent on time and left the room undamaged, but this is what happened. I've messaged and called repeatedly; most of the time there's no answer, and when I do hear back, it's excuses and more delays with no updates. I feel cheated out of my money.

Really bad service. The staff spoke rudely and used bad words. They asked for a RM200 deposit. Very bad.

There’s no front desk, so you have to book through booking com without seeing the room first, and, as often happens, it didn't look the same. I booked just one night in case sleeping there was impossible. The manager's English was so-so, and he didn't understand clearly what I wanted for the following days. Then he asked me to pay extra. I politely said no and tried to find a compromise, but he got angry and yelled at me on the phone. In the end he threw me out, threatening to call the police and shouting, “Get out, get out!” I've never seen anything like this. Avoid it. To answer the owner's response: I wasn't expecting a TV or sofa, just a clean, cheap room. It wasn't clean, by the way. I'm not complaining about the size, which was the minimum a person needs, but it was fine for me for a few days. I told your manager I would stay two days, maybe three, which hasn't been a problem for me elsewhere. On the last day, I wanted to pay the same rate as the day before and stay one more night, since I hadn't checked out. Then, as other comments can confirm, you were rude and disrespectful. When I refused to pay extra, the manager got angry on the phone and threw me out as I described in my original review. I had to pack in a hurry while hearing your manager yelling on your employee's phone. Of course I wouldn't pay for late checkout when I planned to stay another night and was ejected. You have serious mental issues, judging by your angry response and the other reviews.

For what it costs, everything else was good, and the owner was really kind. When I had stomach trouble and asked for a later checkout, he even asked if I needed clinic or medicine information. I appreciated that and would like to return to this hostel. The room door is thin, so you can hear people talking or showering, though most rooms are rented to students who are polite and keep their voices down at night. You may still hear a toilet flush. The location is the reason for my four stars. It's a little hard to spot from outside and a bit far from downtown, and it looks like an ordinary house.
