My room was clean and the bathroom was nice. It was on the top floor, the third, and getting up those steep stairs was a struggle with my injured leg. The place looked different from the photo.

The rooms are small, but have what budget travellers need, including a hair dryer and basic sink. It’s a decent hotel in a good spot, close to the famous street art you’ll probably want to see.

The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the street art. I’d read some bad reviews, but asked reception about “that issue.” They said it had already been handled by the police, so I think it’s safe. Manhattan Residence is a pretty nice hotel. From arrival, the welcoming atmosphere and top-notch service made it feel like a home away from home. My stay at Manhattan Residence in Penang was incredible. The attention to detail and customer service were excellent, and I felt pampered the whole time.

Our family of four had a wonderful experience at Manhattan Residence, and the price was just right compared with other places for four people. It felt worth every penny. Security was good, since access is only possible with the tag they provide with the room key. Check-in and check-out are at a different hotel, but it’s right across the street. Thank you, Manhattan Residence, for the experience. We’ll come back on our next trip!💯
