I found this hotel while planning a trip and believe it’s a sister hotel to MU Hotel, about a five-minute walk away. It’s new and apparently began operating late last year. I got a good deal for one night. Staff were welcoming and check-in was easy. My room on level 6 was small but cozy, clean and well maintained. The toilet felt cramped and flimsy, and soundproofing was poor: I could hear people chatting and a baby crying through the night. There was also a blackout on level 6 around 11pm. The stay was okay, and I’d still recommend it for the price.

My kids loved the atmosphere here, and they were comfortable throughout our stay. MU Hotel Ipoh (Mu Petite) has a cozy, modern and welcoming feel, with a stylish design that’s still comfortable. The room was neat, clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful too, making it a good option for families or couples. We really enjoyed our visit and would come back to Ipoh. Highly recommended!

The room is small, as you’d expect for the price, but it’s brightly lit and has a smart TV. The bed is quite comfortable, though the soundproofing is poor. There’s no fridge and no coffee or tea, just two cups and a kettle. Shower pressure is really bad, and getting a comfortable warm bath is hard because the water is either very cold or very hot. The lower ground has a pantry. Room cleaning could be better too, as it still hadn’t been done by 4pm.

The hotel’s handy for getting to the city attractions, and the room was clean with good air conditioning. They also have self-service laundry, RM16 for washing and drying. My one issue was the connecting doors between the small rooms. They’re locked from inside, but sound carries straight through, so you can hear everything next door.
