Good value for the money, even though the room is small. The location is the best part, with Ipoh Railway Station a 10-minute walk away and Concubine Lane, the tourist hotspot, about 15 minutes on foot. The receptionist who checked me in was helpful and patient. They explained everything I needed to know and took the time to set up my main door key card.

There’s a water dispenser for refilling bottles, and the Wi-Fi worked well for me. The private rooms are small and share a bathroom, but they’re inexpensive at 25 RM per night for walk-ins. Reception can also store your luggage after checkout.

For the very reasonable price, it was fine. The place was clean, and they provided a duvet and towel. The A/C worked well too. Bring your own toiletries and tissues, since none are supplied.

The price was fair for what I got, but getting into my room on the last night was a problem. Around midnight, reception was empty and my keycard wouldn’t work. Another guest happened to arrive with his card and let me in. Without him, I might have been stuck outside all night, since nobody answered the WhatsApp contact.
