Stardorm 2 Ipoh Homestay

We enjoyed our stay with the family. The room was comfortable and nice, and there’s a food court nearby as well as gerbang malam.

The unit faces greenery, which I loved, and the sunrise view is amazing. The location is very convenient, and the security guard was super helpful.

It’s a convenient spot with plenty of restaurants offering different kinds of food. The place itself is clean and comfortable, though a bit old.

The location was my biggest disappointment. There weren’t many decent places to eat, despite Ipoh being known for its food. Nearby breakfast spots seemed to offer only one kind of noodle soup, with no dim sum or other Chinese breakfast options. The building is right beside funeral homes and memorial centres. We could also hear faint bat noises from across the building throughout the day and night, as another guest had mentioned. The room we got was number 13 in the block facing the park, and it seemed to match the photos, but the apartments aren’t all alike. Guest photos and reviews showed some pretty gaudy colours and decor. I liked getting a local condominium experience, and the unit felt like a comfortable home for the money. It was true to the pictures and had a cute little balcony, fast Wi-Fi, and a host who responded helpfully, though the “HOST” is actually a company, not a person. Getting in was far too complicated. It took three separate sets of codes and cards, something the overview and reviews hadn’t mentioned.
