Xscape Tambun

We loved the close-to-nature, wilderness feel. The rooms were neat and clean, the air conditioning worked well, and the bathrooms were good and tidy. Housekeeping promptly handled our requests, and the staff were patient with our questions. The owner was friendly and kindly gave us a ride back to KTM. Getting a Grab or cab was a bit of a struggle, especially finding a six-seater. We came by train from KL this time and felt a car would have been essential. If you want to rent one, book it two days before arriving in Ipoh. The location itself was no problem at all, and there are lots of adventure activities.

Heavy rain left some parts flooded and muddy. With the humidity, the resort facilities need better upkeep too. Bring air freshener for the rooms, you'll need it.

We got to explore the 6th mile Cave and see a hidden world that only a few people have seen. Ask for Mr Wan, he was friendly and helpful and made the whole trip really enjoyable. Fantastic experience, and I'd definitely come back. Thank you Xscape Tambun@Kundig❤️❤️

The room was the disappointing part. The bedside lamp didn't work, so at night we had to use the bathroom light or be left in complete darkness. The bed also smelled sour, which made sleeping uncomfortable. There was no TV either. Staff said it was broken and offered to move us for an extra fee, which felt unreasonable, so we had no entertainment in the room and went into town that night. The setting itself is lovely and peaceful, a nice break from the city. Food was decent, though nothing special. The room issues and missing basic amenities took away from the stay.
