OYO 89480 Dream House Hotel

For a one-night stay I was comfortable, and the room had everything we needed, including a hair dryer, kettle, mineral water and TV. I also appreciated the welcome gift, a toothbrush or body wash, which I hadn't seen offered at a budget hotel before. The price and service both make this place easy to recommend.

The room was filthy, with a damaged door lock, very dusty air con, a mouldy toilet bowl cover and a bad smell. There was even a spider web. I barely stayed in the room because staff from both the first and second shifts refused to move me. After a staff member called me to make complaints instead of helping fix the problem, I checked out. The second shift staff member even told me to complain through Agoda so the boss could see. Hi boss, if you take the business seriously, please inspect the rooms yourself. I know it's a budget hotel, but there still has to be basic cleaning. I booked 02-06 (24/8/24). If this counts as clean, I've got nothing to say. Your room spoiled my vacation and my mood. A very, very bad experience.

The building design is quite good, but the inside was a real letdown. I booked and paid for a queen bed through the airasia app, then the receptionist insisted I book again at the walk-in price and cancel my airasia booking. That was terrible. The room was small and old, and the mattress didn't feel clean. My leg got itchy after the night, and the drinking water from their filter smelled bad and gave me a stomachache. Wasted my rm 95, though at least it was only one night.

The pillow had a blood mark, which was the most disgusting part. There was lots of short hair on the bed when we got to the room, and hair on the floor too. We asked a staff member to help, but the house keeper wasn't available, so we had to clear it ourselves. The toilet floor was wet, as if it had been used and not cleaned before we were given the room. I don't know if there's a worse hotel, but this was the worst I've stayed at around skudai. I'd strongly recommend people skip it.
