The Elysia Suites

On check-in day, after the property had confirmed my booking the day before, they suddenly told me to cancel because they were “fully booked.” The whole experience was frustrating and completely unacceptable. A few days earlier, I'd tried to get check-in details by email and got no reply. The number on the listing said my booking wasn't with them and that the contact details were wrong; another number they gave me never answered. Agoda customer service spent about 30 minutes going back and forth before an agent helped confirm the booking directly with the property. I booked through Agoda for the long weekend. The listing needs investigating. It seems highly unreliable, possibly even a scam, and I'd strongly advise others to avoid it if they don't want extra stress ruining their trip.

Getting into the room was a hassle more than once. The black electronic keypad by the doorknob has three stages, which felt needlessly complicated. The toilet bidet was broken too. We didn't use the pool or eat there, since we only needed somewhere to stay. The rooms were nice, and from our room on the 35th floor the view was absolutely phenomenal. Mostly everything else was great.

My family was left waiting downstairs for hours after I arrived, even though I'd booked and paid for THE ELYSIA SUITES a week ahead. The host ignored my calls, gave no apology and didn't refund me, after saying there were “no rooms available.” I've traveled to Malaysia many times and never had this happen before. It was my son's birthday, and I'd planned to check in and take him to Legoland. Instead, we spent hours looking for another place and his special day was spoiled. Agoda, it's shocking that such a rat can operate on your platform. This is unacceptable and badly harms Malaysia's hospitality reputation. I attached her photo and contact. I keep coming back, it feels like a second home 😍 The guards are nice and speak basic English. Good service and security.
