Jerantut Hill Resort

I came along with a friend for a student event. The setting on the hill was attractive, with a private feel and a nice atmosphere. The meeting hall was good and had excellent air-conditioning. The food served there was great too.

The resort offered good privacy and lots of parking, but the room wasn't worth what I paid. It was very small, and the towels were stained and torn, as if something had bitten them. The shower had pressure more like a sink tap, and the cups still had coffee marks from the previous guest, so they hadn't been washed.

I've visited this restaurant three times. Locals say the food is good, so I kept giving it another chance, and the dishes I did get tasted good. Still, I came away with a really bad impression of how they run the place. Every time I ordered Crispy Butter Pumpkin, they said it wasn't available, even though it's on the menu. On my last visit I switched to Crispy Butter Fried Mushroom, but the waiter said the chef couldn't make it. That's not the waiter's fault. Their menu has several kinds of bean curd, but the only one they serve is Sizzling Bean Curds. There were problems with other dishes too. We ordered Steamed Three Variety Eggs, which is supposed to use three kinds of egg, and got only two. The Stir Four Heavenly Kings, a dish with four kinds of vegetables, came with only three. The waiter also kept ordering the wrong food size, pushing the price above RM60.

It's not exactly luxurious, but the price is fair and things seemed okay and comfortable. There weren't any ground-floor rooms, so we had a bit of a hard time with the stairs every time we went out.
