Lucky Hotel

At least there’s decent food and a 7eleven right beside the hotel. The room, though, was a nightly battle with mosquitoes and noise. The pillowcase and bedsheet were dirty, the toilet door and window were broken and wouldn’t close fully, and mosquitoes kept coming back no matter how many I killed. Past midnight I could hear motorbikes and people talking loudly. Then at 5am, Muslim prayer music played loudly outside for 15 minutes.

The room itself was fine, but loud corridor conversations came through because the soundproofing was very poor. Smoke also kept getting into the room from outside, as if someone were smoking beside me. I think it came from the storeroom opposite. Though I couldn’t see a gap, I could feel air coming through beside the door, so I put something behind it to close the space. That helped reduce the smell when someone was smoking outside. Management should tighten the rules about smoking by guests or staff, if applicable.

Good for solo travelers or a budget work trip. The room was clean and came with a towel, toothbrush, soap, drinking water, and coffee. The water heater worked well.

The staff were friendly and the service was good. It worked well for a short trip, and I was lucky to find a stay available.
