Hotel Tebrau CT

Being close to Aeon, Toppen, and IKEA was the one plus. Otherwise, this was an awful stay and I wouldn't recommend the hotel. We found bed bugs in our room and had already been bitten badly. The receptionist moved us to another room, which looked a little newer and better cared for, making the original room seem especially neglected. Worried about bringing bugs home, we went to do laundry around 1am and washed and dried all our clothes. It was frightening, stressful, and exhausting. The hotel didn't apologize or offer any compensation for such a serious problem. I wouldn't want another guest to go through this.

The bed was okay, but the room felt like a cheap place that had been neglected for years. We paid for a 3 star hotel and got something that felt like no-star accommodation. The bathroom door was broken and wouldn't lock, there was no hand soap, the toilet smelled of pee when I lifted the lid, and I even found a cigarette butt in the bathroom. I didn't feel like I was staying in a hotel, even a basic one. It seemed worth only RM50 a night, the sort of place you'd use when you're on the run from mata.

We booked a king bed. Excellent, convenient location for visitors going to aeon tebrau and toppen.

The staff were friendly, but I don't know if they were aware of the room defects before handing it over. The aircon barely cooled at all, just made a loud fan noise, and the heat kept me awake all night. Then I spotted a little friend, a baby Cocroach crawling up and down the wall beside me. There wasn't enough toilet paper either. For this price, it's only average for the area, with the location as its one good point. I could probably find a much cheaper place without aircon. Totally unacceptable for a hotel.
