Yussy Homestay at R&F Princess Cove

The sea view was breathtaking, and the apartment was clean and just right for a couple. It’s a great place to stay, with a cafe, eateries, and a grocery store nearby. CIQ is about a 20-minute walk away. Highly recommended.

The apartment was comfortable and had the necessities, including a washing machine and detergent. When we asked for extra towels and plastic bags, the host responded quickly. Check-in was easy, and the apartment sits above a mall with a supermarket, eateries, cafes, and hair and nail salons. There are two swimming pools, a large gym, a table tennis room, outdoor exercise machines, and big indoor and outdoor playgrounds for children. At pool level, there are male and female changing rooms and a sauna. The apartment is near CIQ, with a bridge linking RF Princess Cove, and there’s also a free shuttle service.

I booked two bedrooms and two bathrooms, but Yussy management switched my unit on check-in day without telling me the room type had changed. I agreed without realizing the replacement was smaller and had only one bathroom. Who would agree to losing a bathroom? They shouldn’t have allowed the previous tenant to extend when my booking was already confirmed. The problem got worse when I called. The man who answered immediately said, “How? I don’t have a unit for you to change now. If you don’t like it, you can cancel the booking and check out now!” Not one apology. Is this how a homestay management company handles bookings and treats customers? Their customer service is the worst I’ve ever dealt with. The parking was frustrating too. There are no directional signs, so I had to walk around the stuffy, badly ventilated car park trying to find the lift lobby for the apartment block. I’ll never come back.

Everything was easygoing and good. The apartment is spacious, has strong AC, and I liked the body soap and shampoo provided. I’d prefer the room door to open from both sides, and the Wi-Fi needs improvement. I’m not sure if that’s because of the remote location. A nice place to stay if you want to be offline.
