The spending didn't feel worth it, especially with meals costing around 40-50+ per person. The queues were another problem. Check-in had four or five people ahead of me and took about an hour, then there was another long wait for a buggy because the rooms are so far away. After bathing, I realized there was no hair dryer. The room phone didn't work, and staff said it had been set to offline. I had to wait for a buggy to the lobby to ask for one. An hour later, nobody had brought it, so I gave up. If the owner can't prepare or train enough staff to handle so many guests, they shouldn't accept so many bookings.

Our Christmas staycation at Monkey Canopy with friends and kids was a lot of fun. The children loved all the activities, and even on Christmas Eve the resort wasn't crowded, so it felt relaxing. The food was good and reasonably priced too. The buggy service could be quicker at times, though that didn't take much away from the stay. We'd consider returning for another family getaway. We had a fun day at the park, and the free shuttles between its sections made getting around easy. The restaurants served good quality food, but it was expensive. More affordable family options would be welcome alongside the premium dining. The park is less than an hour from my hometown, and tickets cost much less than Sunway Lagoon, so it worked well for a day out with my young child. We had considered staying one night for two days, but the accommodation prices were high and the room guest limits seemed awkward for families. Improving those could help bring in more visitors and encourage longer visits.

There were wild dogs around the hotel car park. Our room had no hairdryer, a leaking toilet, and a broken phone, so I couldn't call staff to bring a buggy or hairdryer. The reception was more than a 15-minute walk away. The shower was extremely hot, and if the knob were mishandled, it could burn my kids. I arrived at 12:30 and completed early registration, then returned to reception at 16:30. The queue was very long, and after waiting over 15 minutes, the staff member said my room was still being cleaned. There was then another 20 minutes of computer processing. If the room wasn't ready, she should've told me straight away instead of making me lose that time. This was the worst hotel I've experienced.
