The room had everything we needed, and the air con worked fine. WiFi was great, and breakfast was okay. The woman at reception was extremely helpful. We stayed one night and had no other issues, so we’d stay again. Finding the hotel was difficult because its Google Maps marker is in completely the wrong place. Compared with some other hotels in Malaysia, this was a good one.

The room itself was nice and good value, though the hotel is quite old. I smelled mold, which bothers me a lot. It gave me the same kind of uneasy feeling I had at a place in Melaka. I don’t believe in that sort of thing, but I still didn’t like the feeling. Better for a short stay than a budget hotel, I suppose. Had to tahan a bit.

The rooms were clean and decent for a three-star place, but the service left a bad impression. The male receptionist and another male staff member wearing a flat cap didn’t seem welcoming. At breakfast, staff started clearing our dishes while my family and I were still eating, which felt disrespectful and made us uncomfortable. I hope the hotel improves how guests are treated.

The place is simple and clean, and seems suitable for families. It’s easy to find on the town’s main road, with parking for about 20 guest cars outside the lobby. There’s a small eating area, but breakfast wasn’t ready at 7am, so the eateries near the jetty are a better bet. A nearby building used for birds’ nests makes the area rather noisy with constant chirping. The only staff member I saw was at check-in.
