OYO 496 Hotel De Eco Inn

Leaving before sunrise was the best part of staying here. The room felt like a prison cell, and smelled of old mold. It was dirty and dusty too. Staff, their friends or other guests were extremely loud until 2 am, talking, shouting, playing videos at full volume and using loudspeaker calls. I went out to ask them to quiet down, but even earplugs didn’t let me sleep. The staff’s attitude was appalling. After more than 100 hotels across Southeast Asia, this was the worst slum of a hotel I’ve stayed in. If the AC has to die, so will you. Bringing your wife here for a nice stay might leave you facing a divorce the next morning. Avoid at all costs. Zero stars.

The room and bathroom were clean and tidy, and the setting was peaceful. The receptionist was polite and professional. Good value for money, and I’d suggest this hotel if you’re after a budget option near Klang. Keep up the good service. Thank you.

Please fix the room door. It locked from the inside, but when I tested it, it still opened from outside just by turning the handle, without a card. My boyfriend went downstairs while I locked myself in, and he opened it easily. We tried again and got the same result. It feels very unsafe, especially if someone could walk in while we're sleeping without us knowing. The room seemed okay when we first entered, but the bed and toilet door were dirty. We also noticed the ceiling looked yellowish from the bed. We don’t know why, maybe rainwater leaks through.

I slept really well because it was quiet at night, and the room was comfortable, clean and just what we needed. The staff were friendly and caring, and I liked the service. Food stalls are very close by, especially good Chinese food. I had an amazing experience and would very much recommend staying here. 👏👏👏👏👏😍😍😍😍
