There’s a cafe and convenience store downstairs, with a restaurant right across the road, and the location works well if you’re watching your budget. The room was quiet, which I appreciated as a light sleeper. That said, there was a strong mold smell in the toilet and stains on the bedsheet. Given the price, I can understand the trade-off. You get what you pay for.

The staff member was friendly and helpful, and the place is close to the centre. Parking is pretty limited, though. My room was clean and quiet, with the basics like air conditioning, a hot shower and a water dispenser. For such a cheap rate, I felt it was well worth the money. I only stayed briefly, and you shouldn’t expect extras at that price.

The registration staff were friendly, and it’s a handy base for Pasar Siti Khadijah, Chinatown of KB and nearby places to eat. My room felt a bit dark, so I wouldn’t choose it for a business trip. There’s no lift, and the water pressure was somewhat low during my visit, which was over school holidays and festivals.

Check-in was quick, and I found several restaurants nearby. I tried the vegan place down the street and thought it was fantastic. My room was clean, with strong AC, a hot shower, and a quiet outlook at the back. The street out front didn’t seem too busy either. There was bottled water in the room, plus refill water and ironing boards in the hallway. It’s very cheap, so I thought the value was fantastic and had nothing to complain about. There’s no elevator, and I think the place has only three floors. You also have to press a button to get the shower going, which is a little inconvenient. I noticed a few wall stains, but they wouldn’t bother me. There’s a 50 ringgit cash deposit.
