We went snorkeling and had an amazing time. Kayaking and snorkeling were included in our booking, and the water was very clear, though there were some sandflies, as you’d expect at the beach. Our spacious, clean villa had all the amenities, and the view from the bed straight out to the ocean was one of the reasons we picked this resort. It’s a private, peaceful place, about a 20-minute boat ride from the jetty. The management team was responsive and helpful from booking through arrival. Meals were delicious and ordered from a menu, which I preferred to a buffet since we could choose what suited us.

You can spend the day relaxing on the beach, snorkeling or diving, taking a walk to the volcano mud bath, or going jungle trekking. The villas are right on the beach, with your own coral reef, and there’s rainforest jungle behind them. Each villa is unique and luxurious, and a personal butler looks after you while you’re there, almost like family. It’s a brand new Eco Resort on one of Sabah, Borneo’s best islands. From Kota Kinabalu, it’s a 1.5-hour drive followed by a 25-minute boat ride to this very peaceful place.

The resort has just 13 villas, all looking out over the beach and sea, and you can reach beautiful coral reefs right from its beach. There’s also a large pool area with a fantastic view. A fantastic five-star villa resort, highly recommended for couples and honeymooners wanting something extraordinary.

It’s a bit pricey, but the rooms and the personalised service make it worth it. If you’re after a peaceful, isolated spot with comfortable surroundings and warm service, this is a great place for two or three nights.
