Hotel 7 Suria

I found the reception both professional and friendly, and the hotel was very clean. Our room was large, with effective AC, a tidy bathroom, a very comfortable mattress, enough power points, and two big glass bottles of water. The hotel is on the 7th floor of a mall. Getting there by car is easy, and the parking is clearly signposted on every level. The price is a little high, but KK seems very touristy, and government officials also appear to hold a lot of meetings in town, so room supply is tight.

The food is nice, which is why I keep coming back. The room itself is okay, nothing special. Asking for a window doesn’t help much since the view is blocked by the building’s metal structure, I think it’s the signage. Service can go either way. On my last visit around January 2026, I asked for early check-in and was told the room wasn’t ready. They took my number and said they’d call when it was. I waited until 2:30PM, heard nothing, then went to reception and found the room was ready. I don’t understand why they asked for my number if they weren’t going to call.

We’ve stayed here several times over the last two years, and it’s very convenient for a retired couple like us. There are lots of free covered parking spaces right by reception, and the shopping mall is just a lift ride down. Getting in and out is easy even though the hotel is in the CBD. The staff are welcoming and helpful. We’ll definitely stay again on our next trips, especially if we can get a premier room.

The WiFi connects but feels like there’s no internet, and my sister couldn’t connect at all. As a local I have mobile data, so it wasn’t a big problem for me, but what about visitors from overseas? The hotel is inside Suria Sabah mall, so it’s easy to shop, sleep, and eat there, lol. Room service is very good and there are lots of workers. The room was really comfortable too.
