Hyatt Regency Kinabalu

The lounge is a lovely extra if you have access, with refreshments all day plus breakfast and dinner. The main dining area has a generous buffet with plenty of cuisines. The location, right in the center and facing the water, made for a lovely four-night stay. Some parts of the hotel felt a little dated at first, but the staff's care and professionalism more than made up for it. We had a room issue on our first night, and they handled it exceptionally, moved us to a better room, and kept going above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We got genuine warmth and attention throughout. It's rare to see a problem handled with so much care. Special thanks to Emily in the lounge and the whole team for putting service and guest experience first.

The buffet runs Wednesday to Saturday, with a great range that keeps up the same premium quality as the rest. The cocktails were expertly made and the dishes beautifully presented. You can feel the high standards in the ingredients and service. The interiors are beautiful, with carefully chosen music that gives the place a calm, elegant feel. Everything seems designed to help you relax. The infinity pool was another thing I forgot to mention, and there was life music too. If you like fine dining and an elegant setting, this is a memorable place with a lot to enjoy.

From the room and the dedicated club lounge, the views are beautiful. The hotel sits right by the coast in the center of town. The lounge and restaurant serve delicious food, and the service is friendly. Special mention to the club team, including Emily, Natasha and Hamzi, plus others whose names I may be forgetting. They were courteous and really professional. Highly recommend!

Right in the heart of KK, with lots of restaurants around, this room had a stunning sea view. The staff were amazing and friendly, and the room was well cleaned. The one downside was that it wasn't soundproof.
