Sabah Beach Villas & Suites

The staff were nice and helpful, and the seawater was clear, though there was quite a bit of rubbish on the beach. The resort is old and the upkeep hasn't kept up. Stray dogs roam around; they don't seem aggressive, but watch where you step because of their poo. The self-contained villas don't have any food supplies, not even tea, sugar, or salt, and there isn't a restaurant at the resort. You need to drive into town or order through Grab.

The beach was beautiful, but the property needs more attention. Dust and an unpleasant smell in the room and on the floor made the cleanliness feel questionable. Cockroaches greeted us in the toilet too, which was completely unacceptable and disgusting. From outside the building looks fine, but inside it feels old and musty. The wooden fixtures have an aged smell, and the whole place feels dated. Such a nice natural setting, with a building that falls short.

The villa has a big pool and a beautiful view, and the room has one bedroom, plus two sofa beds and a regular sofa. There aren't food stalls or restaurants nearby, so you have to drive out to eat. The kitchen does have a microwave and cooking wave, so you can make simple food for the day. It's a good villa. I'll come back and let you know more about it.

The rooms are pleasantly spacious, and the pool is right outside the back door. The location is very secluded, far from shops. The toilets were big but smelled, and the towels didn't look properly washed. One had makeup stains on it. We also saw a dog drinking from the pool.
