For an affordable hostel, this was hard to beat. It was clean, smelled like fresh sheets, and the bed was comfortable. The toilet was spotless, and there was a kitchen with a microwave and fridge. Since it's in the city, I could explore on foot, and it's less than 1 km from the bus terminal, which made getting around easier. The staff were friendly and helpful too. I enjoyed my stay and would gladly come back on my next trip to Kota Kinabalu. Recommended.

The hostel felt cozy and homey, and everything was clean and good quality. The staff were so friendly, accommodating, and helpful. It was also in a great spot, an easy walk to restaurants, bars, and the waterfront, with the Sunday market right outside our window. A great hostel experience :)

The staff are really friendly and happy to help you get around. You can arrange tours right at reception, too. The hostel is clean and tidy, though the rooms are very small. There’s no breakfast, but free hot and cold water is available. Still worth staying here.

Sensi hostel has a really friendly, relaxed feel, with backpackers and locals chatting around the long table and benches. The shared men’s and women’s bathrooms are clean, the AC works well, and there’s a kitchen with utensils, a fridge and a water cooler. There’s also a flat screen with Astro channels. The location on Gaya Street makes it easy to reach food, sundry shops, a pharmacy, banks and hotels nearby. There’s even a 24-hour local coffee shop serving murtabak, an Indian egg pancake with fish or meat curry sauces. It’s also walkable to the harbour for Manukan National Park, and to the laundry near the foothill, where you can climb to an observation tower overlooking the historic Township. A great place to crash, with a cordial, friendly atmosphere. 6/5.

We stayed in a four-person dorm and it was nice. The place is clean, has air conditioning, and is well located near lots of restaurants. They provide sheets, and the shared toilets are clean and in good shape.
