Signel Hostel felt like a second home after a few days, and I’m happy to give it five stars. It suits someone like me who wants simple, low-stress accommodation without worrying about spending too much. It’s also a good choice if you want light snacks and need to keep your budget in check. I liked being near Centre Point, the seaside stretch behind it, and the shop rows close to Gaya Street. It’s easy to get transport to Kinabalu Park by crossing the Kampung Air area in front of Sinsuran toward town. Just watch out when crossing the road, since sometimes drivers don’t see you, no matter how big you are. (Hahaha) Thanks to all the gentlemen, ladies, sisters, and brothers.

I stayed for a week, and my basic needs were well taken care of. The hostel is clean, comfortable, and has a good atmosphere. There’s a kitchen, plus plenty of restaurants in the area. It’s a good option for people who work in KK but live far from the city.

The bed was fine for a standard hostel, and mine had a window and charging port, so it was comfortable enough for a short stay. The bathroom was okay too. One small request for ladies: please put hair in the dustbin instead of leaving it on the wall, to keep things cleaner for whoever comes next. I booked Signel Hostel Sinsuran for a spontaneous weekend trip to Kota Kinabalu, after buying my flight just two days before travelling. I didn’t want to spend much on a place to stay, and this hostel stood out online because the location seemed most convenient. Finding it was easy, just follow the signs to the entrance on the first floor, one level above ground. The friendly staff made check-in quick and simple, and check-out was just as smooth. A decent stay, and everything was good enough for what I paid.

There’s a comfortable space to work in the room, with free Wi-Fi and enough power plugs, so it worked well for both resting and getting things done. The hostel is very clean, and the staff respond quickly to guests’ needs. Its location is strategic, with easy access to local restaurants and nearby attractions.
