Stayed: 24-25/1/2026 There were mosquitoes all over the spacious room, which made it seriously uncomfortable. The breakfast selection was also very simple and limited. Check-in was frustrating: the receptionist went through the rules and regulations in detail, and there seemed to be far too many rules for a resort. At checkout, staff insisted on inspecting the room and possibly charging for stains or other issues, so the wait felt unnecessary and boring. They also require a cash deposit, cash only, which feels outdated in 2026. Luckily I had cash with me. It’s more disappointing because reviews from about five months earlier had already mentioned old towels and too many rules, but nothing seems to have improved.

The beautiful sunset view at Sayong Resort was a highlight of our family trip. We stayed two days and one night, and the city center was only about a five-minute drive away. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was basic and could be better, but we were satisfied and would definitely return.

The rooms are decent enough for what this simple little hotel costs. The riverside setting looks peaceful, but it’s not a place to catch up on sleep. A mosque right behind the hotel has long, very loud lectures that start before 6 am and go on until nearly 9:30 pm.

We had a program there. The venue is nice, but dealing with management was difficult and too much hassle. A lot of charges and surcharges came up at the last minute and hadn’t been disclosed at first. Some of the conditions seemed ridiculous: we couldn’t take photos outside their hall or gather around the premise. Using any area around the premise for program activities came with a fee, but neither the amount nor the terms had been shared when we booked. The person we dealt with couldn’t make decisions and kept giving excuses, which aren’t the client’s problem. I wouldn’t recommend it for a program.
