I chose the Urban Suite, which has a loft layout: the bed is upstairs, and there’s a small living space below. The room is spacious and cosy despite having no windows. There are two air conditioners and two bathrooms, so no need to take turns, though there’s only one shower, in the bathtub area. The shampoo and shower gel are LOCCITANE, and the smart switches include a master switch to turn off all the lights. There’s a water dispenser in the lobby and a Nestle coffee machine with free drinks all day. No milo, sadly. The TV is smart, with free yt and netfx. Staff replied almost instantly when I messaged them on ws at about 12AM. The living area has no sockets at all, so charging a phone means going upstairs, which is a bit of a hassle. You can clearly hear water running when other guests use the upstairs toilet. It didn’t bother me, and sounded a bit like natural rain, but it wasn’t happening often. Still, I’d recommend it, good value for money.

The design is unusual, and it’s a comfortable place to stay. The soundproofing is really poor, though. You can hear people talking in the next room, and even sounds of BIG PROJECT when you step out of the lift. No surprise if someone is making project noise.

The main issue for me was the door security, just a basic latch lock, so anyone with a key could get in while you’re asleep. The toilet paper dispenser also hadn’t been refilled before my stay, and some of the toilet fittings need replacing. There’s an unusual airplane style bowl in the toilet, I’ll leave that as a surprise for anyone who stays. For about a quarter of the price, it felt like absolute 5-star hotel quality. Definitely worth another visit soon.

On 10 april 26 at 2.10 pm, I called to ask about rooms. The receptionist said they were fully booked. When I asked about the next night, he told me to check the website and spoke in English I couldn’t understand. I said I didn’t understand his English, and he hung up right away. I called back to ask his name, and he hung up again. He was very rude.

The room smelled old and was very dirty, with no maintenance. I wouldn’t stay here for a staycation again. If hygiene matters to you, avoid this hotel.
