The staff made this stay for us. They were always available, quick and effective, and when we got our reservation dates wrong they went above and beyond to adjust things so we could stay. The breakfast buffet staff were also fast and top notch. They deserve a salary raise. We loved the spacious, modern rooms and slept on the best hotel bed I've ever had. The pool has a great view and the facilities are phenomenal. Food at botanica was amazing too, especially the breakfast buffet. Try the laksa, 10/10. This is a 10/10 hotel at really reasonable prices.

The room is beautiful and the pool is superb. The only odd thing is the location, right in the middle of an area that isn't very nice or aesthetic. There are lots of run-down houses, and it gets dark at night. It doesn't seem like somewhere you'd want to walk around after dark.

The King Studio room we had looked out over Brickfields, with a bright interior and a lovely, unobstructed view. I love this hotel's modern, chic feel, and it still ranks as my favourite in KL. The water pressure is very good, so taking a warm rain shower after a long day feels great. The concierge, room service and every staff member we passed gave tip-top service. Everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay is provided. I'd definitely return. The small downside is having to change lifts for different things. From the car park, you take one lift to G, another to level 41 for the concierge, then another down to your room. It didn't really matter to us since we barely left the room 😂

My spouse injured her leg, and whenever the staff saw us they offered a wheelchair without us having to ask. That kind of care made the stay special. The breakfast buffet was another highlight, and we had no complaints about the experience. Alila has beautiful design set among lush natural surroundings, the sort of place that makes you stop and take it all in. Alila Bangsar South has earned a permanent place on our KL itinerary. We'll be back.

I just finished my second stay, after the first in Aug 2019 and this latest one in Dec 2025, and the hotel still holds up. It's on the outskirts of town, but getting around is easy: you can get a Grab right away and avoid the chaotic KL traffic. The big highlight is the Hyatt-level bathroom, with loads of space, a huge vanity, and separate shower and toilet stalls. My only complaint is the slow elevator ride from the ground floor to the lobby on the 41st floor. Aside from that lag, everything was perfect.
