The pool and fitness center were excellent, and the restaurant was nice. The facilities elsewhere were quite dirty, though, and there were small roaches. Several companies seemed to manage the front desk, which made it rather difficult to get anything done. If you don't need the cleanest place, I'd say it's good value for the money.

The location near the mall and metro was about the only plus for us. We chose this place for our honeymoon because we wanted a gym, kitchen cooking area, pool, and so on. It had those things, but the place was utterly disgusting. We changed rooms twice and were going to move a third time, but couldn't wait any longer. Between us, we killed around 15+ bugs, including cockroaches, bed bugs, and other bugs, and there would have been more if we'd stayed. The first room was unclean and smelled of sewage. The kitchen was left extremely dirty, and so was the bathroom. The property manager initially refused a refund, but after several conversations with Agoda and the manager, we left and got most of our money and the safety deposit back. The second room was described by the property themselves as their "best room." The hot water didn't work, which was okay and understandable, and they sent a technician to check it. The TV didn't work either, but we don't watch TV. The problem was bugs coming from everywhere. I would 100% STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. IT IS NOT SAFE FOR HUMANS TO STAY. Check their Google reviews for the real reviews of this hotel. At night, especially after midnight, we heard motor gangs and loud music, and noticed very heavy and interesting smells in this part of older KL. If you do make the mistake of staying here, go to Chow Kit market. That may be the only positive thing about this hotel. Just NO NO NO NO NO.

The room I booked with Maple Homes was very clean and comfortable, and the value is tough to beat. I think the building has mixed reviews because several agencies rent out homestays here. It's a very big building with a recreational floor that has a pool table, swimming pool, and even a playground for kids. Security felt very good, with guards 24/7 and key card access to the floors. The bed was comfortable, the AC never failed, and I could watch YouTube or Netflix on the smart TV. There were also plenty of amenities, including a fridge and cooking equipment. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

There's a 7-Eleven and a few other shops in the lobby, which is very convenient. The building has many blocks, nearby infrastructure, rental units, and rooms available. Security is very high. Even I had trouble getting in, though I wasn't trying to enter on purpose. That's good for the residents here.
