The room looks recently renovated and was clean and tidy. The shower only got a little warm, never properly hot. There were just a few TV channels and no way to watch YouTube or Netflix.

There’s a huge spread at this Ramadan buffet for the price. I especially liked the assam laksa at the noodle station, and there were fried noodles too for anyone who doesn’t want soup. The grill with lamb and satay was great, alongside starters like ulam and traditional finger foods, soups, and mains. Desserts included pastries, kuihs, bubur, rojak, and fruit, with more drinks than I’d expect at this price. I’ve been coming for a while and it seems to get better every year. The place has been refurbished and now feels fresh, cozy, and a bit like a warm cafe. A good place to have buka puasa with your partner, family, or workmates. The food tasted fresh, and I’d recommend it.

The Wi-Fi and air-conditioning worked well, and the renovated coffee house looked clean and modern. But the food there was below average, items weren’t labeled properly, and I saw staff chatting loudly and on their phones. I paid extra for a Ruby King-size room under the April 2026 offer, expecting an upgrade from a superior room and breakfast for two. The room didn’t feel upgraded: the furniture was very basic, toiletries were scant and poor quality, and the small TV was outdated and had no Android features. The bed, pillows, and thin blanket seemed old and worn. Some fixtures had been changed, including the clothes hanger, tap, bidet, and shower heater, but the work felt unfinished. There was no proper shower tray for toiletries and no clear hot and cold markings. The hot water was the biggest problem. We were told to run the tap for five minutes, but it took over 30 minutes to get hot water. I’d asked for a high floor and was first given a low one. At check-in, the receptionist also didn’t mention the hot water problem, which apparently had started the day before. I only learned about it after returning to report the issue, and nobody offered a proper fix. The stay didn’t justify the price, and what was advertised felt quite different from what we got.

I had a very poor experience with the deposit. The hotel took 200 MYR and said it would be refunded within three days, or at most a week after checkout. It has now been over 90 days and I still haven’t got it back. I followed up several times, but was then told they wouldn’t return it. That feels completely unacceptable and like customers are being cheated. The service was poor too, and staff weren’t supportive. I strongly wouldn’t recommend staying here. Please be careful with deposits, and I hope management takes this seriously and sorts out my issue.
